How do we collect information from you?
We obtain information about you when you use our website, for example, when you contact us to make an enquiry.
What type of information is collected from you?
The personal information we collect might include:
- Name
- Contact information including email address, phone number and home address (if necessary for installation or site-visit)
- Website usage data
- Information regarding your personal/business requirements
- Information related to grant application (MPRN / permissions requested relevant for installation / grant application process)
How is your information used?
Collecting this data helps us understand what you are looking from the company, enabling us to deliver improved products and services.

During our conversation we collected personal data from you, at your request, prior to entering into a contract with you, for the supply and installation of a home charger for your EV. This personal data will be shared by us with our partners enabling ePower to deliver the customer’s requirements and you will hear from them directly. The personal data collected are name, address and contact details, details about your property including your MPRN and bill ownership, and details on your electric vehicle.
Once the grant process is completed and you authorize us to carry out the installation we will share your personal data with our sub-contracted installers. We won’t use your data for any other purposes unless we ask your permission in advance and we’ll retain your data only for as long as necessary to complete the installation and any warranty requirements, and to satisfy our legal obligations.
We review our retention periods for personal information on a regular basis. We will hold your personal information on our systems for a maximum period of three years or if warranty extended for the duration of that warranty. After that time, we will contact you to see if you’d like to remain on our database.
This personal data is being processed by ePower under Irish and EU data protection law (DPA 2018 and GDPR) and you have certain rights under these laws which include
- Rights of access to, rectification and erasure of your data
- Right to have the personal data transferred in a machine readable fashion
- Right to restriction of processing of the data
- Right not to be subject to automated decision making including profiling
- Right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commissioner (contact details at www.dataprotection.ie )
Who has access to your information?
- We will not sell or rent your information to third parties.
- We will not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Third Party Service Providers working on our behalf:
We may pass your information to our third party service providers, agents subcontractors and other associated organisations for the purposes of completing tasks and providing services to you on our behalf (for example to send you mailings). However, when we use third party service providers, we disclose only the personal information that is necessary to deliver the service and we have a contract in place that requires them to keep your information secure and not to use it for their own direct marketing purposes. Please be reassured that we will not release your information to third parties to use for their own direct marketing purposes.

You have a choice about whether or not you wish to receive information from us. If you do not want to receive direct marketing communications from us, then you can select your choices by ticking the relevant boxes situated on the form on which we collect your information.
We will not contact you for marketing purposes by email, phone or text message unless you have given your prior consent. Please note that ePower cannot be held responsible in case your website, email accounts, computers or other devices are hacked by a third party. In these cases ePower might be of assistance, however, we will charge extra for this service based on our hourly rate for Additional Services.
